PURPOSE: How to read a topographic map, and how to find out things like the steepest parts and the gentle parts of land structures.
VOCABULARY: Contour lines: these lines connect points having the same elevation above sea level.
Contour intervals: The difference in elevation between two consecutive contour lines.
Relief: Difference in elevation between the highest and lowest points on a map.
